Your new student orientation program is designed to provide you with quality academic advising and to help you become familiar with university life and university services in a condensed one-day format.
Please plan to arrive between 8:00-8:45 a.m. for check in and Information Fair. A continental breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. The formal presentations begin at 9:15 am.
Transfer students should bring their WCU transcript evaluation or copies of transcripts from previous schools if the final evaluation is not available.
It is our goal at Orientation for students to leave with a class schedule for the upcoming semester. In order to complete your class schedule you must have met the immunization requirements as set forth by the NC Dept of Health and Human Services for college students. Those requirements include:
3 TDap or combination of tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis
2 MMR or combination of measles, mumps and rubella
Hepatitis B Series (3 vaccines) - Students born after July 1, 1994

University Fees Due: Please be sure that your $150.00 tuition deposit has been made. You will not be allowed to officially register for classes until the tuition deposit has been submitted. You can make a payment via the Banner Payment Portal.
Student ID - CatCards: Students must email a digital photo to the CatCard Office (firstname.lastname@example.org) or mail a hard copy photo to WCU CatCard Office, Killian Annex, Cullowhee, NC, 28723 at least one week prior to your scheduled orientation session so that you can pick up CatCards at check in. You will not be able to check into your assigned residence hall without your CatCard so it is critical that you send in the photo prior to your arrival on campus.
Early Arrival: Students and their guests that opt to stay on campus the night before their orientation session (June 9 or June 28) will need to arrive on campus between 7 and 10 pm for residence hall check-in. Please follow the directional signs to the designated hall.
Reservations are required for Orientation, and you can register online as part of the CatWalk process by going to http://Catwalk.wcu.edu. Confirmation of your registration will be sent to the email address you provide when you register. Once you have registered, guest changes will need to be made by the Orientation office. You can email us at email@example.com. Please include your name and ID number along with the changes you wish to see made.

Guest Fee $25 Per Guest
