Q: What is financial aid?
A: Finding money to pay for college. Financial aid comes in several forms. You must begin by aplying for any type of financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, of the FAFSA.
Types of Financial Aid:
Loans: Borrowed money that must be paid back (with interest), starting within 6 months of not being enrolled as a full-time studen (i.e. less than 12 credi hours; taking a semester/year off, or graduating). Grants/Scholarships: This is essentially free money, however you must also apply for these and it is a highly competitive process. Work Study/Non-Work Study: Employment opportunities on-campus
