- Budget Worksheet (Excel): This is a Worksheet developed as an aid and should be used to guide in the formulation of your project budget before transferring figures into the sponsor’s project forms. Within the worksheet, the calculations for fringe benefits have been established for the most common full time and part-time positions. Please consult with the Office of Research Administration for assistance with calculations for all other positions.
- Time and Effort Calculation Tool: This is a spreadsheet developed as an aid into which
you will input your percentages of time dedicated to each area of responsibility and
it will calculate your total percentage of time and will link to a second budget spreadsheet
into which you only need to input your salary- it will then calculate your fringe
and totals for you! The most common position scenarios have been utilized to create
the tool therefore unique situations will not be accurately reflected in the calculations
- you need to consult with the Research Administration Office staff for rates incorporating
Time and Effort as well as Unemployment and Worker’s Compensation rates to insure
your calculations are accurate!
