A typical day of volunteering looks like this:
9:30 AM - meet in the parking lot of the Fine and Performing Arts Center
9:30 AM – noon - dig up rivercane here in the Cullowhee area, wrap in plastic, and
load onto trailer
12 noon - break for lunch
12:30 – drive to Cherokee
1:30 – plant the rivercane on the campus of Cherokee Central Schools (see location
below)
4 or 4:30 – arrive back at WCU campus
