The Western Carolina University Program for the Study of Developed Shorelines is extensively involved with hazard mapping projects along the Atlantic coastline. In addition to being an integral feature of the "Living with the Shore" book series, PSDS coastal hazard maps are also being used for risk assessment and hazard mitigation planning. Three types of maps are currently available from this page:
