Financial Aid
For Study Abroad Programs you are eligible for the same types of financial aid as
if you were studying on campus. Under the terms of recent legislation, students studying
abroad may continue to receive federal grants and loans. In fact, students may apply
for more assistance to compensate for any increase in costs. The amount of aid given
will differ with each program, as airfare, room and board, and living allowance vary
according to location.
In order to determine a financial aid package for study abroad, you will need to file
a current FAFSA Personal Data Sheet. You are required to take 12 credit hours of coursework each semester while studying
abroad or lose your financial aid. Notify the financial aid office early of your decision
to study abroad.
