The Office of International Programs and Services (IPS) endeavors to facilitate the
development and promotion, coordination and execution of quality international programs
and services at Western Carolina University (WCU). One such promotional toom is THE GLOBE. Typically published each semester (since fall 2007), THE GLOBE is a vital source of information on many international events and activities at WCU.
THE GLOBE offers recent or archived news, as well as select photos from trips abroad or events on the WCU campus. All of the material in the Globe relates primarily to WCU's initiative to build a greater foundation for global education programs and scholarly services, while generating more international exposure on WCU. IPS seeks to enrich the academic and cultural environment at WCU. Thus, THE GLOBE presents extensive cross-pollination of ideas among faculty, students, staff, and the surrounding WCU community.
