Graduate Doctoral Degree

The doctoral program in educational leadership currently is being revised for senior-level
educational leaders with experience in facilitating improvement and solving complex

Graduate Master’s Degrees
Accountancy (MAc): Fact Sheet | Program Website
The Master of Accountancy program prepares students from all backgrounds for successful
careers in the private, government and public accounting sectors. Students will develop
critical thinking and decision-making abilities, knowledge of current accounting theories
and practices, and understanding of general and global business issues. Program graduates
have the foundation for successful completion of their uniform CPA examination and
professional licensure.
Business Administration (MBA): Fact Sheet | Program Website
The MBA program is designed for the WNC working professional. Courses, led by PhD
faculty with professional experience, cover a wide range of business skills geared
toward assisting students in expanding their toolbox of applied knowledge. The curriculum
was created in collaboration with employers in Western North Carolina, WCU College
of Business faculty, and recent MBA graduates. Our students exit the program Business
Ready® to meet the employment needs of aspiring graduates and the regional business
community. This 36 hour program (no prerequisites required) can be completed full-time
in three semesters and part-time in six semesters.

Master of Public Affairs program offers a professional degree for part-time and full-time
students interested in leadership careers in public service including government,
nonprofit management, and public policy. Students work closely with experienced faculty
to fit the program to their career needs while building lifelong professional networks.

The MS in Technology prepares qualified candidates for professional careers that require
technical applications related to quality assurance, manufacturing operations, and
industrial supervision. The program is designed to serve working professionals through
evening course offerings at Biltmore Park. The 30 semester-hour program will be offered
in a cohort format with a limited enrollment. Four main areas include core courses,
support area courses, electives, directed project and oral exam. The program is designed
with sufficient flexibility to permit students to select a combination of courses
in applied and supporting areas to meet individual career needs. Additional courses
provide the opportunity to develop special research and application skills.
