Students Must Request VA Benefits Every Semester
Enrollment changes which occur after your certification has been submitted must be reported to Military Student Services immediately. Changes must be reported to VA within 30 days.
If you plan to use VA Benefits for the Summer semester, please submit your request to Military Student Services at email@example.com. Please include your name, student ID number and the type of benefit you receive.
Please complete the VA Certification Online Request no later than August 1st. We will begin processing Fall certifications July 5th. Requests will be processed in the order in which they were received.
If you are a new incoming student or a current student who has never used your GI Bill benefits at WCU, you can conveniently enroll by completing the steps below:
1. Complete the VA Educational Benefit Recipient Enrollment Form.
2. If you have used your VA benefits at a previous school, complete VA form 22-1995 Change of Program or Place of Training.
3. Submit the signed documents above along with your Certificate of Eligibility to Military Student Services.
