All Former Students. A student who has not been enrolled at WCU for three or more consecutive terms is considered a former student. Readmission of former students is not automatic.
Any student who (1) has not been enrolled at WCU for one calendar year or more (three or more consecutive terms), or (2) is returning after academic or disciplinary suspension or probation, or (3) is changing degree/non-degree seeking status or graduate/undergraduate level (or graduated from WCU since your last enrollment at WCU) must apply for readmission. You are required to submit the $50 application processing fee. If you attended another college or university since your previous enrollment at WCU, official transcripts of this work must be sent to the Admission Office.

See Graduate Catalog for information about admission to the Graduate School.
Returning After Suspension. Students who would like to return after suspension must reapply for admission.
Remember that readmission to a distance-learning program is also a two-step process,
and you will need to communicate as soon as possible with your program director so
that the program will plan space for your return.
We encourage you to reapply soon to also take advantage of early registration for
your intended term of re-enrollment. This is just one of the benefits of returning
student status, not to mention increasing the likelihood of enrolling in the courses
of your choice.
Students applying for financial aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually. You will need to include WCU’s Title IV code number: 002981.
Please feel free to call our office 866-928-4723 if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you back in our programs!
Sincerely,
Dr. Regis M. Gilman, Interim Dean
Educational Outreach – Distance Learning
