1. What services does the testing center provide?
a. The Continuing Education Testing Center provides testing for the MAT, SAT Verbal Reasoning; TEAS, CLEP and DSST (DANTES) Exams.
b. We provide proctoring for exams as requested by students or other Universities on an individual basis

2. Where is the testing center located?
a. The testing center is located in the Camp building on the Western Carolina University campus. See directions.

3. Where should I go once inside the camp building?
a. You should go to the room specified in your test date confirmation
b. You may also check in with the receptionist at Camp 138.

4. I didn’t receive a testing confirmation. What should I do?
a. If you didn’t receive an email confirmation from an online registration, your registration was not received. You can call our office (828-227-7397) or email sfouts@wcu.edu for additional instructions or re-register online.
b. If you didn’t see a confirmation from a paper registration within 10 days of sending in your registration, please call 828-227-7397.

5. What should I wear?
a. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a sweater or jacket in case you need it

6.  Where do I park?
a. Free parking is adjacent available next to the Camp Building.  Park in the visitor’s spaces or the white lines spaces.

7. Should I bring a snack?
a. You are not allowed to eat or drink in the testing area.
b. You may have a snack during the break. You should remove your snack before beginning testing.
c. A snack and soft drink machine is available in Camp Building.  However there is no coffee available in the building.

8. Can I get a refund if I can’t test?
There is a $45 non-refundable fee with every test. A refund of any other portion of your payment may be given under extreme circumstances. These refunds are evaluated by the Director of Continuing Education whose decision is final.

9. I have a question about a specific test. Where do I find those answers?
a. Answers to questions about specific tests are found on the testing website of that particular test. Please refer to our testing homepage for a specific test.
