Congratulations to all 2014 Science Fair Winners!

The 2014 Western Regional Science & Engineering Fair is going to be something really special. The focus is perhaps the most important science, technology, and engineering challenge we have ever faced: climate change.

With help from Dr. Karsten Shein of NOAA and many other organizations with a stake in the issue we will explore "Climate Change: What it means to YOU."
The presentation at 9:15-10:15 each day is "From the Mountains to the Sea: What Does Climate Change Mean for Me?" by Dr. Karsten Shein.

We have lots of science themed exhibitors, fun activities, prizes, and a Scavenger Hunt. Teachers please bring your classes to participate in all these activities plus check out the projects. You don't have to be entered in the fair.

In order for student projects to be eligible for regional, state, and national competitions, students need to use the ISEF forms. Please read the information for each grade level. The forms are used to verify that the student’s work has been planned prior to starting experimentation and supervised by someone with knowledge of safety issues and regulations.

View the current judging rubric here.

Students can also use the ISEF Student Research Information and ISEF Rules Wizard to assist in determining which forms are needed for their project. The following information has been taken from the ISEF website and explains each form in detail.
