Winter Weekend participants can choose from over 50 hours of instruction on the mountain dulcimer, hammered dulcimer, and guitar. Want to attend a hammered dulcimer session in the morning and a guitar class in the afternoon? No problem! Maybe you're a mountain dulcimer player who wants to learn how to get started playing the Hammer Dulcimer. No problem! Mix and match any classes you wish to attend. There will also be offerings for Music Theory, Tab Reading/Writing Skills, Improvisation and Advanced Dulcimer Ensemble Skills.
Evening activities will include staff performances and a music sharing session for
participants. Jim Miller will also be leading jam sessions throughout the weekend.
The best part is that all classes, concerts, jam sessions, vendor area and meals will be held inside the Hotel. So, after you check in, there is no need to leave the facility for any of the weekend's activities.

Larry and Elaine Conger will be your hosts at 9th Annual Dulcimer Winter Weekend. Larry was the 1998 National Mountain Dulcimer Champion and is known for his melodic and well-engineered arrangements and his clear teaching style. He is the author of eight books of his dulcimer arrangements and numerous recordings. Elaine is a degreed music educator who has a passion for sharing her love for the arts. Her years as a professional musician include playing keyboards and singing back-up vocals for country artist Faith Hill.
