Western Carolina University will offer a hands-on camp using Legos™ and Lego™ robotics
July 8th- July 12th for rising 6th-8th graders.
About the Camp
Students will explore the technology behind robotic technology while building and
programming with LEGO® building sets. They will be challenged with the LEGO® Mindstorms
NXT robotic programing and will build their own robotic creations and have the opportunity
to challenge their knowledge with mini competitions & challenges throughout the week!
Details
The camp will meet daily from 9-4 pm Monday- Thursday. On Friday the camp will meet
from 9-2. Campers will eat lunch daily in the Courtyard Dining on campus. Kids will
be accompanied by the teacher and an assistant at all times.
On Friday, the camp will meet from 9 am-2 pm with a showcase from 1pm to 2 pm for parents and grandparents and any special guest of the student. Anyone wishing to come for lunch can purchase a meal ticket in the dining hall and eat with the campers on Friday.
Early registration by May 1 is $109.00. After May 1, registration is $149.00.
