WCU's Office of Public Relations and Communications routinely sends news releases about student activities and honors to the hometown/local newspapers of the students involved. Students participating in the Undergraduate Expo who wish to take advantage of that service should visit the website http://studentawards.wcu.edu to complete an online form and submit it via email to the Public Relations and Communications Office.

 
Undergraduate Expo

2015 Undergraduate EXPO Program (PDF)

Open to ALL undergraduate students, the Undergrad Expo is a two-day, campus-wide event sponsored by The Honors College featuring the research, creative work, and service of undergraduates from a variety of fields and majors. All students are encouraged to participate. Students DO NOT have to be a member of The Honors College to participate. The 2015 Expo will be held Monday-Tuesday, March 23-24, 2015. The Expo Reception, free for all faculty sponsors and undergraduate participants, will be held Monday at 5:00 PM in the University Center Grand Room.

Schedule of Events:
Monday 3/23/15
4:00-4:30 PM Student sign in and hang posters and exhibits
4:30-5:00 PM Poster preview.  Students and guests can view posters/exhibits and eat at this time.
5:00-5:20 PM Opening remarks and Rodin Award announcement
5:20-6:00 PM Guest speaker & interactive presentation
6:00-7:00 PM Student poster/exhibit presentations 

Tuesday 3/24/15
12:00-1:30 PM Closing presentation & alumni panel
Oral presentations at various times and locations on campus. See Expo program booklet for more information.

Wednesday, 3/25/15
School of Nursing Research Day. See Expo program booklet for more information.

Registration for the 2015 Undergraduate Expo is now closed.


 

NCUR - National Conference for Undergraduate Research                            
The Honors College coordinates Western Carolina University annual participation in this national conference. WCU was ranked second in the nation based on the number of research projects that were accepted for 2014 NCUR. Students' proposals from over 300 colleges and universities nationwide were accepted for last year's conference.
