2013 Foreign Language Contest
Western Carolina University's thirty-first annual Foreign Language Contest for high school students was held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Western Carolina's Ramsey Center. The date of the thirty-second annual Foreign Language Contest in 2014 has not be set.
The Modern Foreign Languages department sponsors this annual foreign language competition for regional high school students. The contest is designed to test students' knowledge of French and Spanish, and matches individuals and teams from regional schools in various categories and pits teams against each other in a Quiz Bowl for French and two Quiz Bowls for Spanish, one for native speakers and one for non-native speakers.
The department's students and faculty, along with volunteers from other departments on campus, serve as judges in the competition.
