Guten Tag! My name is Dr. Will Lehman and I am the principle instructor of German language and culture courses at WCU. It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the homepage of our German program. If, after reviewing the information on these pages, you have any questions for me about our program—or if you just want to chat about German-related topics—please drop me a line (in English, German, or even Spanish) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our German program is relatively small, which means that we are able to take our majors’ and minors’ individual needs into consideration when planning each semester’s course offerings. Another benefit is that students of German very quickly become friends with each other and are able to network very easily.
Information on our basic German-language courses at WCU:
- If you want to know which German course is for you, or if you need information about registering for a German course, see our German placement page.
- To find out which courses are being offered now and in the future, see our German course offerings page.
German is one of only two foreign lanuage majors at WCU (the other being Spanish), and one of only three foreign language minors (along with Spanish and Japanese). Below you will find links to information for majors, minors, and those interested in pursuing a major or minor in German:
- Requirements for the minor in German
- Requirements for the B.A. in German or the Dual Humanities / German B.A. .
If you want to study for a month, a semester, or even an academic year in Germany, we have lots of opportunities to do so!
