B.S.Ed. in Mathematics
The Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.Ed.) degree with a concentration in mathematics prepares a student to obtain a North Carolina teaching license and to teach mathematics in the North Carolina secondary schools. There is a serious shortage of secondary school mathematics teachers, so employment prospects are excellent. Thus, students have the choice of earning either a B.S. in Mathematics or a B.S.Ed. with a Mathematics concentration as the degree leading to a North Carolina teaching license.
