The history department is proud to offer three undergraduate degrees:
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in History
- Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.Ed.) in Social Science
Capstone Experiences
Beginning fall semester 2013, all History majors and History/Social Science Education majors must complete a Capstone to receive their degrees.
Minors
We offer a minor in history and two interdisciplinary minors: Appalachian Studies, and Cherokee Studies, which is housed within the Department of Anthropology and Sociology. The interdisciplinary minors provide you with access to experts from a variety of University departments.
Certificate Program
We also offer a certificate program in public history.
