Assistant Professor
Dr. Boulware received his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge (Homerton College). His research interests include the Revolutionary era, American slavery, and culture in the early South. He has published articles in the Journal of Sport History and the International Journal of Regional and Local Studies. He is currently revising his dissertation entitled "Unworthy of Modern Refinement: The Evolution of Sport and Recreation in the Early South Carolina and Georgia Lowcountry," which is under contract with the University Press of Florida.
