Katerina Spasovska is a native of Macedonia. Mrs. Spasovska received her masters in journalism from the University of Missouri, Columbia and her Ph.D at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She brings over 18 years of international radio, television and digital journalism experience to Western Carolina University, including time at the St. Louis Post Dispatch. She has worked with the United States Information Service in training new journalists in former Eastern Bloc countries. She has received international recognition for her investigative reporting. Mrs. Spasovska speaks Macedonian, Albanian, Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian, Slovenian and Bulgarian.
