Special Opportunities for Environmental Science Students

From outreach and community activities through clubs, groups, and Open House events to scholarship and Study Abroad possibilities, there are plenty of special opportunities available to enhance both your studies and your social and civic life.

Clubs & Groups

Eco C.A.T.S. (Conservation Awareness Team for Sustainability) is dedicated to reducing our university's impact on the environment through education and service while having fun.

WCU GeoClub is a student organization designed for people who have taken an interest in geological studies. GeoClub’s foremost purpose is to provide opportunities for club members and the community to experience and discover the enjoyment in geology. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A MAJOR!

The Environmental Stewardship (ES) Club raises environmental awareness by promoting environmental stewardship, and developing an annual Earth Day event and other activities both on and off campus.

Open House “Meet and Greets”

Consider serving as a student ambassador at WCU Open House events. Participate in “Meet and Greets” and share your invaluable and unique academic experiences and information with prospective students and their families.

Scholarships & Study Abroad

Scholarship and study abroad opportunities are available to you, the environmental science student. Visit the Financial Aid Office’s Scholarships page and the Office of International Programs’ Study Abroad website for more information.
