Dr. Thomas Hatley, 2002-2008.
Dr. Hatley holds degrees from Davidson College, the University of North Carolina, Yale University, and a doctorate in history from Duke University. He is the author of The Dividing Paths: Cherokees and South Carolinians through the Era of Revolution (Oxford University Press, 1993, reprinted 2000) and co-editor of Powhatan's Mantle: Indians in the Colonial South (University of Nebraska Press, 1989).
Dr. Alan Kilpatrick, 2001-2003.
Dr. Kilpatrick received a Ph.D. and an M.A. from the University of California-Los Angeles plus an M.A. from Loyol Marymount University. His publications and works in progress focus mainly on Cherokee religion.
Dr. Duane King, 1994-1995.
Dr. King holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. from the University of Georgia-Athens. He is the author of many publications dealing with Native American pottery and Cherokee history.
