As a member of the University of North Carolina system, Western Carolina University
receives funding from the state as well as generous support from individuals and corporations
for scholarships and academic programs. Students in the Kimmel School may be eligible
for:
- Engineering and Technology Scholarships
- Construction Management Scholarships
- Graduate Assistantships
Financial Aid Office
The WCU Office of Financial Aid can provide the most current information on costs for North Carolina residents and nonresidents as well as information on financial aid, merit-based and needs-based scholarships for undergraduates and graduate assistantships, grants and fellowships.
Need-based Scholarships
Need-based scholarships are awarded by the Admission Office and are available to all students. These awards typically require the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (fafsa.ed.gov) and are renewable.
Merit-based Scholarships
Merit-based scholarships for undergraduates are awarded by the Honors College for incoming students. Individual academic units, including the Kimmel School, can award merit-based scholarships for continuing students enrolled in the school's academic programs.
