In the Telecommunications Laboratory, students gain first-hand network experience using routers, switches, and associated hardware and software applications. It is equipped to simulate modern network communications across LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) configurations. 

Each workstation has its own Cisco router, switch, and firewall creating a real-world networking environment. In addition to the individual work station networking devices, the lab is equipped with a Cisco 6500 switch, two Dell 2500 servers and a Dell 4400 server from which configurations can be administered or altered to fit the network design.

The telecommunications lab features two Dell Power Edge 2500 servers along with a Dell Power Edge 4400 server. These are complemented by a Cisco Catalyst 6500 switch in a portable upright server cabinet.
