Our talented faculty members excel in many areas, including automation, robotics,
optoelectronics, lasers, computer graphics, telecommunications and product development.
They have an average of seven years of industry experience each in addition to an
in-depth knowledge of their fields – a rarity in academia.
Funding for their research efforts comes from sources such as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), the Small Business Administration, the Golden Leaf Foundation and Verizon.
Through the Center for Rapid Product Realization, an EDA-designated university center, our faculty members serve as innovative, “can-do” partners for technical assistance and technology transfer for government, business and industry officials to enable economic growth and job creation.
