Professor Clark is the Nursing Advisor for Nurses Christian Fellowship (NCF) which is a Student Government Association on campus. NCF is student led and students participate in many activities to help people in the local community.
Professor Clark has also been the contact faculty for the Nursing Department Alternative Spring Break trip to Jamaica. During the spring break trip, Professor Clark organizes various types of nursing experiences for the students in rural southwest Jamaica.
Professor Clark received her Masters of Nursing degree from California State University Los Angeles in 1981. She graduated from the University of Evansville in 1975 with her undergraduate nursing degree. Her clinical experience includes medical-surgical nursing, care of patients on step-down nursing units, and mental health nursing.
Prior to coming to WCU, Professor Clark taught ten years at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio with prelicensure students and five years at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Prior to that time, she taught at several community colleges with associate degree nursing students.
Professor Clark is currently a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, Eta Psi chapter, and Nurses Christian Fellowship She currently resides in Franklin, North Carolina.
