What Nurse Administration Students Are Saying
"The Nursing Administration track at Western Carolina University has provided me with
a solid foundation for demonstrating leadership in the dynamic health care environment.
This distance-learning program offers great flexibility for students who are trying
to manage many different roles. Nursing leaders today play a critical role in the
economic and administrative viability of heath care organizations and this degree
provides the knowledge and skills to become an integral member of the health care
team. Health care is facing many challenges and the WCU Nursing Administration track
will better prepare nursing leaders to contribute to solutions in a complex health
care environment."

"The Master of Science in Nursing - Nurse Administration Program has provided an opportunity
as a distance learner to return to school. The flexibility of blackboard learning
systems and the availability of resources have made the transition to online learning
quite manageable. I have been most impressed by the faculty and the design of the
program."

"I had attempted to go back to school for my masters degree 20 years ago, but sitting
in a classroom after working all day was not for me. When I decided to go back to
school this time, I was delighted to discover Western Carolina's online option! The
online option meant that I could get my masters degree without rearranging my life.
I truly think I would not have been successful without the online option. Probably
the most beneficial aspect to me, in my current role as a director of nursing, is
learning how to put together projects and presentations in a meaningful way. Woven
throughout the curriculum is the underlying there of cultural competence and ethical
decision-making, which reaffirms my rind in nursing as a profession."
