Welcome to the Master of Health Sciences (MHS) Program!
Focused on public health principles, this online program is intended for students with a health-related education, business or clinical background or those seeking careers in health care or health services related industries.
* Please note: Total program hours effective Fall 2011 = 33 Credit Hours. Students who entered
PRIOR to Fall 2011 must complete 36 credit hours.

Emergency Medical Care (distance) Nutrition (resident)
A graduate Dietetic Internship (DI) program (separate application process required) is available for those wanting
to become Registered Dietitians (RDs).
3) Research Completion (Select one)
Research Project OR Thesis
MHS faculty, students and alumni engage in a variety of research activities in collaboration with the health care delivery and public health organizations. Many
of these research activities lead to awards, scholarships, presentations to professional
organizations and publication in peer-reviewed journals. Sharing this information
helps prospective students see the value of research in the MHS program and serves
to communicate program activities to members of the university community.
