Athletic Training: Certified athletic trainers (ATCs) are unique health care providers who specialize in the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses that occur to athletes and the physically active.
Emergency Medical Care (EMC): Join the nation’s first paramedic training program leading to the baccalaureate degree.
Environmental Health: One of the most unusual and rewarding majors at Western in which you’ll learn to monitor and improve environmental conditions for humans and other living things.
Master of Health Sciences (MHS): Earn your graduate degree and specialize in one of the following concentrations: health administration, health education, emergency medical care, or nutrition.
Nutrition and Dietetics: The Nutrition and Dietetics Program trains students to become registered dietitians (RDs) who help individuals and groups maintain optimum health and fitness by providing both preventive and therapeutic nutritional care.
Recreational Therapy: Recreational therapists help people reduce depression, stress, and anxiety; recover basic physical and mental abilities; build confidence; and socialize effectively. They help people with disabilities integrate into the community by teaching them how to use community resources and recreational activities.
