WCU offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Athletic Training. Fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), the professional program combines intensive classroom and clinical education.
Provisional admission to the program occurs each year with an application deadline of September 1. Full admission to the program occurs each year with an application deadline of December 15. You must meet the following admission requirements for full admission to the program.
In the program, you’ll complete a rigorous education that combines didactic, psychomotor, and affective competencies and clinical proficiencies necessary to become a successful athletic trainer.
The focus of the Athletic Training Program is to promote critical thinking and problem solving in a hands-on curriculum which will expose you to a wide variety of clinical education opportunities.
