Musical Theatre Productions

Let’s put on a show! Each academic year, the Musical Theatre Program presents two major musicals and scenes programs. These productions provide you and your peers with opportunities to hone and perfect your skills. Auditions for the major productions occur the semester before the production is scheduled.

Past productions have included A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Fantasticks, Little Shop of Horrors, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, A Grand Night for Singing, Side by Side by Sondheim, Oklahoma! (above) starring visiting artist Brian Hissong and The Music Man (below), directed by our own Terrence Mann and starring visiting artist Jared Bradshaw.

This year we will be presenting 42nd Street in the fall November 13th-15th at 7:30pm and November 16th at 3:00pm in the Bardo Arts Center and The Rocky Horror Show in the spring February 19th - 20th at 7:30pm and February 21st at 7:30pm and 10:30pm in the Hoey Auditorium.

Other opportunities to practice your craft exist through the theatre arts and dance program, which presents mainstage plays along with many student-directed shows, and through the university’s many musical ensembles.
