"Chemistry": Students and faculty collaborated on a production of the short story "Chemistry"
by Ron Rash, who holds WCU's Parris Distinguished Professorship in Appalachian Cultural
Studies. A documentary about the process is also being made. "Young Cherokee": In April 2006, students filmed the last scenes from the Theatre in Education Company's
performance of "Young Cherokee," concluding a year-long theatre initiative that has
captured attention at national conferences and connected university students with
the Cherokee people. 48 Hour Film Project: Two student teams participated in the 48 Hour Film Project in Asheville this summer (2006). |
