Art and Design Academic Programs

Art Education:  This program will prepare students, as an artist-teacher, to meet the needs of diverse student populations. It begins with our B.F.A. degree and, if one wants to further their education, explore our M.A. in Education or M.A. in Teaching offerings.

Graphic Design:  Our B.F.A. in Art with an emphasis in graphic design focuses on developing your critical thinking skills within contemporary issues, strong understanding of formal design principles, creative problem solving and fluency in multiple mediums.

Interior Design:  Our B.S. in Interior Design includes a senior research project or internship and encourages related study abroad. We also offer a minor in residential environments.

Studio Art:  Our offerings in studio art include a B.A., a B.F.A and an M.F.A., a 60-hour terminal degree program offering the highest level of instruction in the visual arts.

Art History: This program allows you to focus your studies in art history.

You can also complement your studies with an Art Minor, this requires 21 hours of approved art courses. This minor enhances a wide variety of majors, not just those offered by the School of Art and Design.
