The Sales and Marketing Program's mission is to promote excellence in fields of marketing and professional selling and move Western Carolina University (WCU) to the forefront of marketing education and training.
Graduates of the program gain outstanding leadership potential through a curriculum that emphasizes active academic learning enhanced by practical experience with businesses and economic and community development agencies in the region and beyond.
Students are encouraged and supported to engage in professionally related clubs, associations, co-op experiences, and internship programs, to consult and conduct research with faculty, and to interact with business persons. As a result, our graduates are “business ready”—ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
Sales and marketing faculty & staff members at WCU possess exceptional academic credentials along with significant experience in business, and they stress the importance of real world applications rather than simply teaching from a textbook.
