Managerial Experience

BotaniPharm, LLC. – Chief Marketing Officer November 2011 to present.

As Chief Marketing Officer for this profitable start-up company, I manage strategic relationships and marketing activities.

Western Carolina University - Associate Dean, Director of Graduate Programs and MBA Program for the College of Business Oct 2007- May 2010

As Associate Dean, MBA Director and Graduate Programs Director, I served in the Dean's office and managed and coordinated a wide variety of programs and activities.

Cimex Biotech, Inc. Marketing Consultant April 2000 – Nov 2002
As chief marketing officer for this start up biotech company, I wrote a strategic plan, developed a new product screening process, and created a new product launch plan for a product launched in December, 2002.

University of New Orleans - Director of Executive Education 1996 - 2000
Reporting directly to the Dean, I established a Department of Executive Education in the College of Business Administration and developed a wide variety of educational and training programs in the United States and overseas. There are now four major programs that will contribute about $2 million in unencumbered funds annually to the University, College, and faculty.

Ciba-Geigy - Various 1980-1989
During a decade at a division of Ciba-Geigy, I held a wide variety of management and executive positions in accounting, finance, logistics, sales, and marketing. Over the decade sales grew from zero to about $200 million. I managed up to 75 direct reports with budget responsibility of up to $6 million. I was responsible for sales training, convention planning, marketing research, and new product research and development, among other areas.

General Electric Capital - Various 1976-1980
I was initially hired as a manager trainee and was promoted four times. I held positions as a credit and collections manager, a field auditor, an account executive, and a salesperson.
