Why our Program

Our Program is Different

Unlike many other programs, ALL of the courses in our program are entrepreneurship courses, not a group of courses cobbled together from other disciplines to make up an entrepreneurship degree.

The courses are integrated and were developed by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs using The National Content Standards for Entrepreneurship Education published by the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education. Throughout this program, we help you design, create or improve YOUR business.

Our program is accredited by the American Association of Colleges and Schools of Business.

Our program is taught entirely on-line, so you can continue to work on your venture as you pursue your degree

Our Faculty are Different

All members of our faculty have significant experience as entrepreneurs as well as having earned their doctorate degrees. We continue to work with new ventures as consultants, investors, board members and even temporary executives.

Our Cost is Lower

We did not set out to be a low cost provider, but the State of North Carolina supports higher education and regulates our tuition. So the proposed cost of THE ENTIRE PROGRAM in 2013 is:

In-state: $ 6,904.50 + books ($1,380.90 + books per semester)
Out-of-state: $ 21,001.50 + books ($4,200.30 + books per semester)
Military (Out-of-state): $ 7,500.00 + books ($1,500.00 + books per semester)

Our Mission

The mission of the Master of Entrepreneurship degree is to inculcate entrepreneurial vision and entrepreneurial will in our graduates. The first part of our mission requires that we develop in our graduates the skills to identify entrepreneurial opportunities that exist: those opportunities that represent untapped markets and underserved markets; and those opportunities that can be created by applying existing technologies to new fields and new markets. Of equal importance is the requirement to develop the skills to create entrepreneurial opportunities: the invention, development, and exploitation of entirely new ideas, products, and services; and the creation of new industries, infrastructures, and ways of doing business.

The second part of our mission requires that we develop the self confidence in our graduates that is required to actually establish and grow entrepreneurial ventures. Self confidence comes from the mastery of entrepreneurial skills necessary to start a venture, establish it successfully in a competitive marketplace, to grow the venture effectively, to develop value in the venture, and, ultimately to harvest it.

Our mission encompasses all types of entrepreneurial ventures,: not for profit and government venues; and for profit business ventures.
