The undergraduate Middle Grades Education program leads to a bachelor of science in education (B.S. Ed.) degree and recommendation for licensure to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (DPI) for grades 6-9 initial licensure.  The Middle Grades B.S.Ed. is a 124-127 hour program that is comprised of:

• 42 hours Liberal Studies
• 24 hours Professional Education Sequence Courses
• 19 hours Major Courses
• 24-25 hours Academic Concentration I
• 24-25 hours Academic Concentration II
