If you already have a bachelor’s degree and would like to teach the subject you majored in, the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) allows you to earn an advanced degree and a teaching license at the same time. You may earn a license to teach grades 9-12 in biology, chemistry, English, mathematics, social science or grades K-12 in art, music or TESOL.
Prospective Students
Admission to the program requires an undergraduate degree in the major of the concentration or a closely related major. It also requires an interview with Dr. Mary Jean R. Herzog, education program director, and communication with the adviser in that concentration. Their names and contact information are listed below.
