THE OFFICE OF FIELD EXPERIENCES hosts students in a variety of grade levels and school settings starting with Early Field Experience and followed by Internship and Student Teaching placements. 

These experiences offer the candidates the opportunity to reflect upon learning as they observe, assist, plan and ultimately intern or student teach.

Early Field Experiences
Early Field Experiences involve observation, tutoring, service learning, teaching and other activities in public schools.

Internships & Student Teaching
All candidates, regardless of program, must complete an internship or student teaching experience in order to be recommended for North Carolina licensure. Many programs require a year-long internship; other programs permit a traditional one semester full-time student teaching experience.
