How to Evaluate and Reconcile the Advance Licensure Portfolio
To Evaluate the Portfolio
- Sign in to TaskStream
- Look for the "[Your Program] Advanced Licensure Portfolio" portfolio when you log in to TaskStream. Click on it. [If you do not see this, contact Dr. Lee Nickles]
- Search for the student you wish to evaluate. [Note: you can type in any part of the student's name; e.g., first name only, last name only, first few letters of the last name, etc.]
- If there is more than one student matching your search, you may have to select your student from a list. The webpage will present a list and you click on the name of your student. There may be duplicates of the same student - it does not matter which one you click on.
- Once the student is selected, their name appears under the search box after "Selected individual:"
- Click the circle beside "Show All Categories" and click the yellow “Continue” button
- You should see the student's name followed by many columns. Each column is one component that the student must address in the portfolio.
- EXAMPLE: Look at the first component and click the yellow "Evaluate" button. [If you do not see an Evaluate button, contact Dr. Lee Nickles]
- You will see on this screen the student's work under "File Attachments". Click the links to open and view the student's work.
- When you are ready to enter your evaluation for this component, click the green “Evaluate/Score work” button. A new window will appear
- Fill out the blanks in the form. Comments are optional; the rubric score is required. Some components require a score, others require only a Met/Not Met judgment.
- At the bottom, select " Record as my final score" under the green heading bar.
- Click the yellow “Submit” button.
- Repeat for all other components.
- Done!
To Reconcile The Scores to a Single Score (IF this is your task, to reconcile scores from multiple evaluators – note you will
need the permission in TaskStream to do this from Lee Nickles):
- The person with access logs in to TaskStream and navigates back to the student's portfolio.
- You should now see the list of components. Under each component, you should see the icon for “Ready for Reconciliation” (three check boxes), a yellow “Reconcile” button, and a message “2/2 evals done”. [at least, you will see this when two people have evaluated]
- If you are ready to reconcile, click the yellow “Reconcile” button
- Click the green “Reconcile Evaluations” button in the upper right. [Note: if there is only one score to be given to a student and you are reconciling, click the yellow "Suspend Add'l Evaluations and Reconcile" button instead - this will automatically make the single current score the final reconciled score]
- This opens a new window that displays the scores given by the other evaluators.
- Select the reconciling score you choose to give on this component. You may select one of the evaluator’s scores, the average score, or you may type the score of your choice.
- Add any comments you wish.
- Select “Record as final and release evaluation to author now” if scores need to be released to students immediately. If scores are being held so they can all be released at once, select “Record as final but release evaluation to author later”
- Click the yellow “Submit” button
- Done!
Note: the student will NOT see any of the scores by individuals, only that the final reconciled score was given.
