Students in SSS are encouraged to utilize all campus resources available (such as the WaLC and MTC). Sometimes, however, more individualized tutoring services are needed to support your success. The SSS Tutoring program provides one-on-one tutors to work with you on a regular basis on courses where there are not tutors available elsewhere or where more individualized attention is needed. Peer tutors are paid employees that work with a diverse student population including students with disabilities, a variety of learning styles, different cultures, ethnic groups and socioeconomic backgrounds.
If you are interested in becoming a tutor for SSS, please contact Ms. Wesley Satterwhite, Director for Disability Services and Student Support Services at (828) 277-2716 or firstname.lastname@example.org
