The UNC Board of Governors' guidelines allows for the limited exclusion of hours used to calculate tuition surcharge. Do not submit this form without reviewing the grounds that can be used to waive surcharge hours and indicating the specific hours your feel qualify for a waiver. General waiver requests without indentifying specific hours cannot be processed. To qualify for a waiver you must be able to demonstrate that your pursuit of a degree was substantially disrupted and that the reason for the disruption fits within one of the four waiver categories.
The completed form and any supporting documentation must be submitted to the Registrar's Office at Registrar@wcu.edu within 30 business days of receiving the e-bill that includes a notice of the tuition surcharge. Tuition e-bills are sent to your official catamount email account.
