Faculty Professional Presence Website - Access on request by faculty member. Go to http://faculty.wcu.edu and click on Request Form in the left sidebar. Someone will be in touch with you within one work day.
Intranet Committee Site - The chair of the committee needs to submit a service request to the Help Desk. Indicate that the request is for a standard committee site. Please provide proof of the committee's existence, the committee's official name and a list of committee members.

Requirements/Limitations
To edit wcu.edu - windows, Internet Explorer, account for RedDot/Content Management System. Additional software is needed to edit images, audio and video.
To edit paws.wcu.edu or claws.wcu.edu - account for paws/claws, web editing software (such as Dreamweaver) - available in on-campus labs for students, in the Faculty Sandbox for faculty or available for purchase by faculty, staff, and students.
To edit faculty professional presence websites using WordPress - account for the site, standard supported internet browser.
Intranet Committee Sites - supported version of Microsoft Office, internet access.
Collaboration sites are available for committees that involve WCU faculty, staff and student administrative workers from multiple administrative or academic units. There are two options for a site, depending on your needs:

Custom Committee Site
Features and policies of a custom site are dependent on your requirements. Custom sites are projects and must follow the IT IT governance and prioritization process. The time required to deliver a custom site is significantly longer than the standard site. To submit a project request, follow the instructions on the IT Governance Committee site.
Retention policy:If the committee is temporary, the site will be archived for one year immediately following the committee's final meeting. After one year, the site will be permanently deleted.

Service Availability
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the exception of scheduled maintenance.
IT’s Role
Provide RedDot accounts, offer training and support as detailed here, keep all servers online, create webspace on paws/claws when needed, create committee websites, setup appropriate permissions, keep WCU Hub online.
