Service Description
System administrators and engineers at Western Carolina University are responsible for maintaining backups of priority servers. Example requests include:
• Restoring specific files that have been lost since the last backup.
• Restoring servers that have suffered from catastrophic failure
Requirements/Limitations
Limited to specific servers and data, supported by the IT Division, that is currently being backed up. Request for recovery must be made before the retention time of the data has expired (typically one month).

Service Availability
Available during regular business hours, Monday –Friday, 8AM – 5PM.
IT’s Role
Maintain backups for priority systems and provide recovery in the event that it is required.
