Service Description
System administrators and engineers at Western Carolina University are able to perform research and provide guidance regarding the implementation or improvement of the server architecture for planned or supported applications:
• Research best approach for server architecture needed for an application during
the planning phase.
• Research new technology that may provide a solution to a service request.
• Determine feasibility of making changes to the environment for a currently-supported
application
Requirements/Limitations
Limited by availability of resources and project priorities.

Available during regular business hours, Monday –Friday, 8AM – 5PM.
IT’s Role
Perform analysis or research specifically related to the setup of server(s) currently supported by, or intended to be supported by, the IT Division. Perform analysis or research specifically related to the implantation of new technology, intended to be supported by the IT Division.
