Service Description
IT Governance Staff collects information about the project request to create documentation to present to the governance committees for approval and prioritization.
Requirements/Limitations
- Work requiring more than 24 hours (3 working days) of IT time
- Cost > $5000 (project cost adjustments > 25% must be reviewed by appropriate technology committee)
- Work/impact broader than one campus department or equivalent unit
- Requires coordination across IT - Involves standing up new technology or expanding functionality of an existing technology solution

IT’s Role
Collect pertinent information about project request so committees can approve and prioritize effectively. This information takes the form of a project proposal summary and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
