How to Access/Request this Service
R25 is a system that enables management of class and event scheduling campus-wide. A webviewer is available for persons who need access to check availability, but do not manage those resources. Administrative use for R25 must be requested and approved by the Office of Institutional Research and Planning. Please contact this office for any questions relating to Resource 25.
Our implementation of Resource25 at Western opens up a suite of tools for use in academic and events scheduling. Resource25, or R25 as you will hear it called, is "a true campus-wide, multi-user course and event management system which includes robust reporting capabilities and a powerful web component."
Calendars can be created for use on WCU websites, based on kinds of events (lectures, arts, athletics, etc.) and other criteria (audience, sponsoring group, etc.).
To add or edit calendar entries, R25 software and an account.
Authorized faculty and staff can make entries into the calendar. Anyone can view it.
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the exception of scheduled maintenance.
Keep the server running, maintain the db, allow access for the vendor.
