Submit a service request to the Help Desk. If the request meets project criteria, the ticket will be closed and the request will be forwarded to IT Governance.
Service Description
Application developers or analysts at Western Carolina University are able to perform data analysis or research related to supported business systems, such as Banner and MyCat. Example requests include:
• Research how a process change in one system will impact other related processes/systems
• Determine feasibility of adding a feature to an existing system or of changing an
existing process
• Research a financial discrepancy in balances reported during a specific period of
time
Requirements/Limitations
Research or analysis needed to investigate errors or issues occurring in reports, data feeds, processes, etc. fall under the Business Systems -> Defect or Issue category.

Available during regular business hours, Monday –Friday, 8AM – 5PM
IT’s Role
Perform analysis or research specifically related to one of the business systems supported by the IT Division
