DoIT supports a variety of services to faculty and students to further the University's academic and research missions, including classroom support, learning management, and research support.
SERVICES & SUPPORT
These offerings provide desktop services ranging from computer repair to training.
ACCOUNTS, IDENTITY & SECURITY
These services provide the University with ways of uniquely identifying members of the University and methods for controlling access to services using passwords and group restrictions. Additionally, DoIT operates a central IT Security Office to protect the University's networks and machines from malicious computer attacks and network harassment.
BUSINESS SYSTEMS
DoIT provides professional services dedicated to operational support, augmentation and integration of university business systems, such as Banner, MyCat, auxiliaries and the data warehouse. Services range from performing systems analysis to advanced report writing to development of integrated components. Requests for business system support fall into one of the categories listed below.

WEB
DoIT provides services dedicated to creating, developing and supporting the WCU.edu website. Services range from creating PAWS and CLAWS accounts, intranet sites for committees and new websites to reworking existing websites, adding features to websites and providing training for WCU's content management system. SERVERS AND STORAGE
DoIT hosts several servers for various academic and administrative functions. Regular maintenance and monitoring is included in standard hosting, so requests for this major service are limited to file or server recovery, changes to the configuration of a server or application, server application upgrades, and general troubleshooting related to server performance.
